O-Launch is a weekend of in-person and virtual programs showcasing the future of art and design through the work of Otis College’s talented graduating students. Highlights include the campus-wide Annual Exhibition, the Fashion Show and Industry Night, and the commencement ceremony featuring special guest speakers and honorary degree recipients. Otis College offers two graduate MFA programs in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, each led by renowned faculty who are redefining their respective fields. As a graduate student, you’ll develop your craft in a rigorous, supportive environment that provides a strong foundation for you as a professional artist. Applications for admission to the graduate programs are evaluated by the USC Office of Graduate Admission before being forwarded to the school. Students must be admitted by both the USC Graduate School and the Roski School of Art and Design.

The students were chosen by a panel of teachers based on written statements and art portfolios. Admission to the Roski School of Art and Design at the undergraduate level is granted through the USC Office of Admission. Freshman applicants applying by December 1 for the fall semester will receive priority consideration for admission to the university and for merit scholarship. All Roski graduate programs are housed in the new, state-of-the-art, Roski Graduate Building in the heart of the Los Angeles Arts District. The new facility includes individual work spaces/studios, a well-equipped Makerspace, conference rooms and the 2,000-square-foot Roski Graduate Gallery. @AnDCreates, a student-run advertising agency, designs comprehensive and impactful digital marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on social justice and environmental sustainability.

Residential students have the opportunity to experience college life and develop creative community with their peers. English and history classes are scheduled back-to-back so teachers can coordinate lessons between the two subjects. For instance, while 11th-graders are reading The Crucible in their English class (The Crucible is a play about the Salem witch trials that's an allegory about McCarthyism) they're studying McCarthyism in their United States history class.

A minimum grade of C (2.0) or higher is required in all studio and art history courses for all undergraduate majors and minors in the Roski School of Art and Design. A minimum grade point average of 3.0 must be maintained by all candidates for the Master of Fine Arts in Art, Master of Fine Arts in Design and Master of Arts. Landscape architect Elisa Read Pappaterra filled the center fountain with cascading succulents. A brick-walled patio became a party-ready outdoor kitchen and dining area thanks to Douglas R. Santicola of Outdoor Elegance. Santicola and Monique Wood installed Caesarstone countertops fabricated by Carlito’s Way Stone to create a functional space for outdoor entertaining. Bursts of hot pink and apple green energize Steven Cordrey’s design for the home’s veranda. Hand-beaded light fixtures illuminate the seating areas, which feature tables and chairs from Janus et Cie’s Amalfi Coast outdoor collection.
Develop and construct winning artistic portfolios for high school, and college with our flexible and tailored-to-you portfolio program. Pursue one of three USC Roski undergraduate programs, including a BA Art, a studio-based and immersive BFA Art, or a BFA Design with 2D and 3D applications. “One of the main things we did was add a window seat, which looks like it should always have been here,” Slesinski says. “Our whole goal with this space was basically to turn the lights on in the room, bring in the garden that’s outside, and kind of have an experience of a breath of fresh air,” Brosio says. Opportunities to learn from industry professionals during in class presentations and workshops. The school offers visual and performing art classes daily in addition to a rigorous college preparatory curriculum. Auditioning students are admitted based on audition results; no academic criteria are used.

Developed to foster creative opportunities for young people within the creative hub of Los Angeles, any senior-level student from Los Angeles County who plans to enroll at Otis College is eligible for this $40,000 scholarship award.
This reflects the percentage of graduates from this school who enrolled in a 4-year college or university immediately following high school. Advanced Placement classes are college-level courses students can take in high school. The percentage of students taking AP classes may reflect whether the school culture is focused on college.
